We are excited for you to consider having your event, reception and/or wedding at Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center. It
is truly a unique facility in a breathtaking setting and being owned by the citizens of Cowlitz County we try to keep it
affordable for as many as possible. With our large upstairs banquet rooms, restaurant, lobby/dance area in front of
the river rock fireplace, and our deck overlooking Mount St. Helens we offer you Cowlitz County’s most unique
banquet and event facility. Deduct 15% for off-season rates ( Nov-Mar).
Saturday Events, and all setup and decoration for Saturday events can not start before 2:30 pm during April thru
October due to Saturday Tour Bookings.
Hoffstadt’s helicopter tour service operates late May through September and adds a unique ambiance to your
event. It can be grounded during any actual wedding ceremony or taking of vows - unless they are being done on
the helicopter itself! Availability subject to weather.
Upstairs Spirit Lake Banquet Room(s): Available year-round, $50/hr with a four hour minimum. Rooms include
tables and chairs for up to 85 people on each side, or chairs only for over 200 total. A $250 Setup/Cleanup fee for
Weddings and Receptions includes table and chair setup, skirted cake and gift table, and plastic plates, forks, and
napkins for cake serving if required.
Visitor Center: Main Level* is available for rent by larger groups and those wishing to utilize the lobby area except
during July & August – call for more information. $1250 for up to six hours, $100/hr thereafter. No room fee for up
to six hours with purchase of food over $2500 except during busy season between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Includes Restaurant seating area, deck seating, upstairs banquet seating and lobby area. Total seating not
including deck is 240. The deck can seat an additional 200 and lawn seating is available on prior request. A $500
Setup/Cleanup fee for Weddings and Receptions includes table and chair setup, skirted cake and gift table, and
plastic plates, forks, and napkins for cake serving for up to 100 if required, plus DJ accommodations. *Gift shop,
kitchen, prep, basement, and mechanical areas are excluded from use. Liquor charge not included towards
minimiums.
Wedding Ceremony Charge: $250 setup charge for holding the wedding ceremony/vows at any location on the
Center. Includes skirted signing table and/or gift table if requested.
Popular Hoffstadt Event Buffet Packages
Our buffets are a popular, economical, and relaxing way to maximize the enjoyment of your event. Add to the buffet
your choice of punch, bartender provided wine/beer/liquor service or our self-service soda and coffee bar. We are
happy to work with you to create the buffet you desire while keeping costs low ( Hoffstadt is a publicly-owned facility
! ) The following are our two most popular buffets with available entrée substitutions and formal dinner service
options included.
Famous Hoffstadt Bar-B-Q Buffet: Our World-Famous 15-hour Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs & BBQ Chicken.
Cooked tender, juicy and lean with our own Famous Volcano BBQ sauce. Served with BBQ Beans, In-season
vegetable, Potato salad, Italian Pasta or Three-Bean Salad. ………*$12.95/person.
Optional Added Services:

Add $2.00/person for Black Berry Cobbler with Whipped Cream for dessert.

Plated Dinner Option: Either Menu above can be provided to the tables with all food and choice of beverages
individually served by our staff. All tables for dinner service can be set formally with tablecloths, napkins, silverware
and glassware, with stemware on request. Alcoholic beverages can be served at the table through a running tab for
the host or individually paid at the table with cash or drink tickets. Add to buffet and options pricing

We support both no-host beverage service and hosted service with a time or dollar limit you decide. We carry a
selection of popular beers and regional microbrews; popular Columbia Crest Wines; Wine selections from over 20
Boutique Northwest Wineries; and a limited selection of Spirits and mixers.
A bartender will be provided at no charge for alcohol purchases exceeding $250, otherwise a $15/hr charge, 4 hr.
minimum will be applied. No minors may be served, we reserve the right to check ID’s as required. Prices for our
standard beverage selections as follows:

One-Hour Host Beverage Package: Get your party going with a One Hour hosted beer & wine service ( offer
free beer, wine, or soda ) converting to no-host cash sales for rest of the evening. We suggest a selection of Bottle
Beers and Microbrews on ice, Merlot, White Zinfandel, and Chardonnay wine. Budget $700 per 100 people for the
first hour.
Wedding Toast Package: 1 case Champagne and Plastic Glasses for 100……………$125.00

Hoffstadt Event Guidelines & Suggestions
Start Times & Decorating: Earliest start time for main level events during May-September months is 6:00 pm with
decorating beginning no earlier than 4:00pm. Upstairs decorating may be done that morning or the afternoon or
evening before, subject to other booked events. Setup and takedown is included in rental times.
Linen Fees: Tablecloths are available in standard wedding white single use cloths or Black or Maroon for
$10/table which includes setup and laundering. Color subject to availability depending on size of event.
No Outside Food or Beverage Allowed: As a commercial food establishment and County facility, we do not allow
outside food, alcohol, or beverages to be brought to any event for general consumption by event attendees, with
the exception of the wedding and “groom cake”.
Entertainment: We highly recommend you hire a DJ as they add greatly to controlling the flow of the event in
addition to providing the entertainment. Please let us know the type of entertainment (live band or DJ), what hours
the entertainment will run, the name of the company or person who will be entertaining, when they will be arriving to
set up their equipment, and any special requests they may have. They are responsible for bringing their own sound
and light equipment, and for tearing down that evening. Setup should not begin before 4:00pm without special
arrangements.
Deposit & Payment: A $250 deposit is required to secure the upstairs banquet room and a $500 deposit is
required to secure the Center or Restaurant. This deposit is not refundable for Saturday functions in May through
September, but refundable up to 90 days prior to the function date for other functions. The deposit amount will be
deducted from the bill upon completion of the event. Final payment is due Two weeks prior to the event. We
accept all major credit cards, cash, and local checks with ID. The maximum number of people attending must be
guaranteed no-less than 14 days prior to the event. Hoffstadt Bluffs will not assume responsibility for lost or
damaged property left in the Center before, during, or following the event.
Decorations & Confetti: One of the advantages of an event at Hoffstadt is that it is a beautiful facility and location
requiring minimal decorations. No nails, or staples are to be used to hang decorations. Tape may be used if it
doesn’t leave a mark. No decorations should be attached to light fixtures. Confetti, birdseed and rice are not
allowed on the grounds. We suggest using bubble bottles. No Glitter is allowed. Wedding Theme Colored Helium
Balloon/ribbon arrangements are allowed.
Non-Smoking Facility: Under State Law No smoking is allowed within the Center or on the deck.
Sales Tax & Gratuity: There will be a 17% gratuity charge and 7.5% sales tax charge added to the entire bill.
